Meet Our Administrator of Building Operations - Detroit Campus

Welcome to the David Ellis Academy – Detroit website! The Board of Directors and DEA-Detroit family take great pride in leading our brilliant students on a journey that will chart their course for educational excellence and lifelong learning.

It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you as the Administrator of Building Operations for the Detroit Campus of David Ellis Academy (DEA). I bring to this position several years of experience within the Academies, as well as other schools in the Metro Detroit Educational community.  I have been fortunate to serve in multiple roles over the years from Parent Volunteer, Instructor and most recently Compliance Manager.  It has been and continues to be, a joy to be an educational leader at the David Ellis Academies.

Our school community is committed to developing the whole child. Students have earned my appreciation for their enthusiasm for learning, their pride in being SOARing Eagles, and their kindness to each other and their teachers. I have always been impressed with the DEA team members for their dedication and professionalism to teaching. I’ve learned that this school is a place where strong connections are made between staff, students and families. 

During the coming weeks, I look forward to visiting all classrooms, working together with teachers in continuing to support learning opportunities for our students, and getting to know more parents.
