Our school environment should be characterized by positive interpersonal relationships among students and between students and staff. To that end, the Academy implemented a school-wide Student Code of Conduct and Behavior Rubric which can be found in the DEA Family Handbook.
It is imperative parents and students revisit the Student Code of Conduct and the Behavior Rubric. More specifically, there will be zero tolerance for disrespect, insubordination, tardiness to class/school, classroom disruptions, hitting, fighting, bullying, and adhering to our electronic device/cell phone policy.
We will enforce our policies, procedures, and expectations. We ask that you speak with your children daily to make sure they have studied, completed class and homework and any other school-related projects on time.
Students are expected to learn and model DEA Student Behavioral Expectations, follow all school and classroom rules and demonstrate appropriate social skills when interacting with both adults and peers. When behavioral expectations are not met, the student is expected to work to improve behavior. Moving forward, students that remain non-compliant will be subjected to disciplinary action.
It takes us all. That's why it's important that parents, teachers, and students work together in concert to address these issues.
