Teachers at David Ellis Academy in Detroit accelerated their students’ progress on standards after attending Game Changing Educators, ANet’s professional learning sessions for our Michigan partners (see info below.)
Sean Grant, 6th-8th grade math teacher, focused on congruent two-dimensional figures during the session, and his class outperformed peer schools in Michigan on that standard by 52% on the recent ANet interim. On the ELA side, Lauren Moore’s 5th grade class outperformed on literature and informational texts after she implemented key takeaways from the session.
Congratulations to the teachers and students in both classes!

Game-Changing Educators has been a great professional learning experience for the educators participating this year. We’ve learned that our GCE participants are seeing student success at a higher rate than their peers. Don't miss our next session!
